Love this picture

Family picture at Dingus (we need to do this more often, so much fun)

We had Christmas at my Grandma Iverna's on December 18. We had a blast and then went out to the local bar with my cousins. We ended up staying the night and came home the next day to wrap up our shopping.

Pre Christmas Activities

Well I need to get caught up for the New Year, I can't believe how fast this past year went. Christmas was really fun this year, as the girls are starting to understand what Santa is all about! I will just get to the pictures as I have a lot to download.

Making Christmas cookies with Grandma "Mimi"

Oh Timmy, not the girls' toothbrushes. The girls thought it was so funny that he had their toothbrushes.

They had to line up all their strollers and grocery carts in the kitchen.

Timmy hiding in the candy, can you find him?

Tonight we brought out the Elf on the Shelf to make his first appearance. We read the story that came with him and decided to name him "Timmy". Right away they wanted to hold him, so I told them that they could hold him one time for a picture and that we couldn't touch him again, we'll see how long that lasts. They may still be a little young for this idea but I think it will be a fun tradition to start. We have been doing the advent calendar and they love getting their special treat each day so they should like "Timmy" too!

Mommy and Avery Day

Saturday I took Avery for the day and Matt took Brinley. I took Brinley last weekend but forgot to take pictures..Sorry Boops! Anyhow Avery and I started the day at the mall. We ate lunch and then we went by Santa and rode the train. She was such a big girl and rode all by herself! Every time she would come around the corner she would wave and had such a big smile on her face! I didn't even bring a stroller into the mall with us and she did so good holding my hand the entire time, and she even left her hat on! After the mall we went to Toy's R Us and let her look around. She wanted to get out of the cart right away. She was handing things to me to put in the "shop shop" aka shopping cart! I had to tell the lady at the checkout that I did not want to purchase over half of the stuff! We even managed to go to another mall where she fell asleep in her stroller. We had such a fun day and I couldn't believe how good she was.

I don't what it is but Avery has been talking all about poop lately. It has started with her new favorite book "Everyone Poops" which is actually a funny book and then while we were at Barnes and Noble last week I took them into the bathroom to change their diapers. It was one of the stalls that also has a toliet in it. After I was done changing them I needed to go to the bathroom as well and as I was "peeing" Avery says outloud "Mommy poopie!" I immediately heard chuckling outside the stalls as I was trying to explain to her that no, mommy was not pooping just going potty....oh the joys!!
