Tonight we brought out the Elf on the Shelf to make his first appearance. We read the story that came with him and decided to name him "Timmy". Right away they wanted to hold him, so I told them that they could hold him one time for a picture and that we couldn't touch him again, we'll see how long that lasts. They may still be a little young for this idea but I think it will be a fun tradition to start. We have been doing the advent calendar and they love getting their special treat each day so they should like "Timmy" too!
